Hun-gong (Donation)

We are frequently asked what the fees are for the Services and Meditation sessions.

The price cannot be set because the Buddhist teachings are priceless so we offer our service for Hun-gong. The simplest meaning of Hun-gong is generosity to public. We practice it by offering the Teachings and Facilities without a price tag.
This center was started by Rev. Kyoung-won Chang's donation which she made for five years working 3-4 jobs simultaneously living humbly, and maintained solely by the generosity of other benefactors, patrons, and practitioners. These donations have enabled us to keep our doors open to the community.
You can practice it by making a donation or money, time, and /or labor. Along with Wisdom, generosity is considered essential to get enlightened. It is through the practice of Hun-gong that we learn to let go of our greed (be it intense or very subtle).
We here at the Richmond WonBuddhist Temple would like to thank the contributors who have supported us with their donations.

Won-Buddhism of Richmond, Inc is a 501(c)3 Tax Exempt Non-Profit organization. All general donations to Won Buddhism of Richmond, Inc are tax deductible.
